Visit to the Visayas State University of the Philippines, in the context of the collaboration project TUM/ITC on curriculum development

From May 10th to 22nd 2010, Dr. Michael Klaus and Jorge Espinoza and Johan de Meijere (ITC) visited the Visayas State University VSU in Baybay, Leyte, in the Philippines within the frame of Phase 4 of the collaboration project on curriculum development which is being implemented since last year in the context of the Land Administration and Management Project (LAMP2).

The final phase of the academic collaboration project which brings together three universities, namely TUM, ITC and VSU, was a quality assurance visit in which the main objective was to critically analyze the newly developed Land Administration and Management programme in terms of contents and structure in order to make sure it is ready for its begin in June 2010. For this purpose, strong efforts were devoted to further developing and fine-tuning the curriculum and to discussing the contents and teaching methods with the Professors in charge of delivering the courses at VSU in the upcoming academic period.
