2nd Expert Meeting of the International Alliance on Land Tenure and Administration (IALTA)

"The overarching goal of IALTA is to contribute to sustainable land administration in a globalized context through research collaboration that brings together academics from disciplines and knowledge-based organizations to share knowledge and data, develop and discuss research and help practitioners and policy makers improve their understanding and practices concerning land tenure and administration". This overarching goal is in line with the strong comittment of the Centre of Land, Water and Environmental Risk Management to promote the establishment of a Global Academic Partnership (GAP) on land management and administration. The second expert meeting of IALTA was held in Munich on 25th of October 2010 and gathered land-experts from numerous countries and relevant institutions. The purpose of the meeting was to formulate and discuss the main targets of the network as well as what the next steps will be in order to realize the objectives mentioned above.
