The Graduation Ceremony 2010 of the Master's Programme Land management and Land tenure took place on March 22nd 2010 in the headquarters of the Bavarian Construction Industry Association (BBIV) in Munich.

The ceremony was filled with interesting and highly significant speeches by Prof. Holger Magel (Programme Director), Senator E.h. Gerhard Hess (Managing Director BBIV), Vice Dean Prof. Uwe Stilla (TUM), Mr. Christian J. Hegemer (Hanns Seidel Foundation), Mr. Bodo Richter (GTZ Sector Project Land Management) and Mr. Willi Zimmermann. Furthermore Mr. Samuel Mabikke (MSc) delivered a lively speech on behalf of the Graduates.

A highlight of the ceremony was certainly the announcement from the side of Mr. Hess (BBIV) and Mr. Hegemer (HSS) that their institutions will continue supporting the master’s programme in the long term. We are very pleased with these announcements and would like to thank Mr. Hess and Mr. Hegemer for their valuable support.

Furthermore, as every year, the President's Award was handed over to the Best Student and the Best Thesis among the Graduates. This year's President's Awards went to Rita Esinu Sewornu (Ghana) and Samuel Mabikke (Uganda) respectively.

Medal “For a Fair World” 2010 of the Förderkreis Bodenordnung und Landentwicklung e.V.

The handover of the Medal “For a Fair World” 2010 of the Föderkreis Bodenordnung und Landentwicklung München e.V. took place as well with occasion of the Graduation Ceremony 2010. Three outstanding persons and professionals received the Medal, namely Prof. Dr. Michael Kirk, Dr. Peter Jahnke and Sparkassendirektor Georg Bromme for their outstanding support to the master’s programme and the Chair of Land Management and their exemplary engagement in the achievement of the goals of the master’s programme and the Chair.
