Inside this issue:

Text Box: During the second and third weeks of October 2006, the Centre of Land Management and Land Tenure was very pleased to host its very first Summer School.
The main objectives of this Summer School were to bring together the former students of the Master’s Program and, by doing so, to build up the Alumni Network of the Centre of Land Management and Land Tenure.
The Summer School had 37 participants, from 15 countries from allover the world.
The meeting was a great success as it allowed not only for old classmates and friends to meet up once more, but also because it provided an enabling environment for the construction of the Network.
Text Box: Several issues were discussed in this respect. Meetings were held not only among the former students, but also with representatives of numerous institutions of development, like InWEnt, KfW, and Hanns Seidel Stiftung; and the private sector, like GAF AG, ESRI and Leica Geosystems.
The final product of the Summer School were a number of agreements, for example, in terms of the president, objectives, and vision of the Network.
This special edition of our Newsletter provides our audience with a documentation of the happenings during the Summer School 2006 at TU München.
